  • Does the G-Model shoulder rest come in different heights?
    Yes! It is available in Low (20mm), Medium (25mm) & High (30mm)

  • How do I know which height is right for me?
    The easiest way is to start WITHOUT a shoulder rest at all.
    While holding your instrument comfortably simply measure the space that needs to be filled underneath, using your fingers and ruler/tape measure - making sure to avoid lifting the left shoulder.

    Our rest is not meant to act or feel like a traditional “curved” shoulder rest.
    It is the ideal supplement to give you the freedom of playing without a shoulder rest at all, just with a boost! It is the perfect lift, helping to bring the instrument closer to you, but without altering the angle. If you are still unsure send us photos of your current setup and we’ll be happy to help!

  • How does the G-Model shoulder rest attach to my instrument?
    1. PEEL     …off the feet protectors
    2. STICK-ON …the back of your violin/viola where you would normally place your sponge, shoulder rest etc.
    3. PLAY!
    The G-Model attaches to your instrument like no other shoulder rest on the market today!
    V1 and V2 used a specially formulated, non-varnish-harming glue.
    NOW our V3 uses a revolutionary NANO-SUCTION FOAM not available anywhere else. Thousands of microscopic suction cups attach to the back of your instrument, but still moveable so that it can easily be “peeled” off the instrument when not in use. It will not dampen your instrument’s sound and has been tested on some of the world’s finest Stradivaris, Guarneris and even carbon fiber Instruments.
    Guaranteed to not leave behind any marks or residue on your instrument’s varnish.

  • How often do I need to reapply the glue? (applicable to V1 and V2 only)
    As long as you keep the feet dust-free (with the included feet protectors) you won’t have to reapply the glue for a very long time! When it comes to reapplying, it couldn’t be easier with the applicator brush. Watch our G-Model FAQs

  • Does the G-Model come in viola or kids versions?
    The G-Model is suitable for both violin AND viola — one size fits all!
    For those playing extra large instruments however, we now make the XL Viola version - 1cm wider and 3cm longer - especially for violas with wider lower bouts.
    As for a kids version, we do offer that as a custom service. Please contact us for further info.

  • Is the G-Model height adjustable?
    Our G-Model is designed without movable parts so that it stays completely stable and secure once installed. It becomes one with your instrument - giving you total freedom to focus on your playing and the music! You can however choose the height that suits you best.

  • What comes in the box?
    The G-Model Ultralight Shoulder Rest, and a pair of feet protectors.

  • When will my order ship?
    Please note, our products are handcrafted and can take up to 4 weeks to ship.
    With careful wood and material selection we are working as fast as possible to keep items in stock whilst maintaining the highest quality control.

  • Will I be able to track my order?
    Yes! You will receive an email confirmation once your order has shipped with complete tracking information.

  • What is your return/exchange policy?
    We understand that sometimes things don’t work out, so we offer a 14 day money-back guarantee. We also offer a one-time size exchange as a courtesy.
    If an item is defective we ask that you simply inform us within 5 days of receipt to request a replacement. Customers are financially responsible for shipping the item back to us for the exchange.
    You may return your product(s) for a refund if:
    The item is in original, resalable condition
    The item is returned in its original packaging
    All refunds will be applied to the original form of payment, excluding shipping costs, within 5-7 business days from the date of return.
